ArtTalks are an opportunity to enjoy a casual lecture presented by local and regional artists. Through this intimate view, learn about the artistic processes, ruminations and inspirations of working artists and how extraordinary ideas are forged into an artistic reality.
The featured artist on July 20 is John Fielder
John speaks about his traveling exhibit celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act. The ArtTalk features a 60- minute slideshow with over 200 of Fielder's favorite wilderness images from Colorado and beyond, captured over the past 40 years. The entire collection of Fielder's books will be available for sale and signing. Hosted in conjunction with the High Country Conservation Advocates.
The talk is $10 and takes place at Eleven's Scarp Ridge Lodge at 512 Second Street. 6:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.
There will be a special Pre-Reception (5:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.) with John Fielder will be held prior to the ArtTalk with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Speak with Fielder personally, take in the beauty of Eleven's Scarp Ridge Lodge and enjoy premier seating for the slideshow. Proceeds benefit High Country Conservation Advocates. Cost is $45.
