Base Area Parking

Parking is available in the Main Lot located at 32 Emmons Road. Turn right on Treasury Road and the entrance is on the right-hand side.

This lot is the closest to the base area, including the Red Lady Express and Silver Queen Express chairlifts.

Mountaineer Square Parking Garage

The Lodge at Mountaineer Square offers heated day parking for $30 per vehicle. The entrance to the Lodge at Mountaineer Square parking garage is adjacent to the hotel lobby, located at 620 Gothic Road in Mt. Crested Butte.

Summer Season

Free Parking On The Mountain

The Town of Mt. Crested Butte manages and maintains two free parking lots. One is located on Snowmass Road, and the other is located at the corner of Treasury and Gothic.

MOUNTAIN EXPRESS

The Mountain Express provides free ground transportation throughout Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte. Main transit hubs are located at the Old Town Hall and the 4-Way Stop in town, as well as Mountaineer Square at the resort base area. Please visit www.mtnexp.org for the most up-to-date schedules and routes.

New for winter 2023/24, guests can request free on-demand rides within Mt. Crested Butte using the First Tracks App! It's free to download in the Apple and Google Play stores.

RTA

The Gunnison Valley RTA provides free ground transportation throughout Gunnison, Almont, Crested Butte South, Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte. Main transit hubs include the Gunnison County Library and Gunnison Community Schools, Red Mt. Park in CB South, the 4-Way Stop in town and Mountaineer Square in the CBMR base area. BUSTANG

New in 2022, the Bustang runs from Denver to Crested Butte, with stops in Pine Junction, Fairplay, Buena vista, Salida and Monarch Mountain, as well as Gunnison, Almont, and the 4-Way Stop in Crested Butte. From there, guests can take the RTA or Mountain Express in the CBMR base area. Please visit ridebustang.com for the most up-to-date schedules and routes.

Driving Tips

Driving Directions from Montrose

Crested Butte is located 94 miles east of Montrose. Take US-50E for 64 miles until reaching Gunnison. From there, turn left onto CO-135 N/N Main St towards Crested Butte and travel 29 miles to Crested Butte Mountain Resort.

Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport

Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) is located 30-40 minutes from Crested Butte in Gunnison, CO and is serviced by both American Airlines and United Airlines.
