Looking for a challenge? Hike, bike or trail run on CBMR’s vast trail network between the base area and the peak of Mount Crested Butte. Thirty-plus miles of singletrack at CBMR complement the more than 750 miles open to mountain biking in the Gunnison Valley. With a little help from the Silver Queen Lift, hikers also are offered an extremely unique opportunity to summit the iconic, 12,162-foot Mt. Crested Butte in just two hours!

Crested Butte is known as one of the birthplaces of mountain biking, and enthusiasm for the sport continues today throughout the Gunnison Valley. The Crested Butte Mountain Bike Park was established at Crested Butte Mountain Resort in 2009. Since the beginning, it has been designed to meet the needs of all riders — from beginners on two wheels to gravity experts.
There are few places that can still be called a real Colorado ski town, and Crested Butte is one of them. There are no traffic lights and no high-rise buildings. When you walk around town, you’ll feel the untamed spirit in the unparalleled views and the meticulously preserved false-front buildings reminiscent of its mining days.
